Isn't the role of science to test out theories and look at problems from new perspectives? It seems as if some political organizations and scientific groups want to vilify and marginalize anyone who disagrees (even if that disagreement is incremental rather than fundamental). I don't claim to be an expert on global warming any more than the Catholic Church is the authority on the solar system. While we should make every effort to prevent criminals from owning and carrying guns, no illegal action should ever impair our right to bear arms. Americans have a level of freedom that is unsurpassed in the world and our right to bear arms guarantees that freedom and keeps our citizens capable of defending their individual rights when confronted by terrorists and criminals.

An excellent article about the type of player that is "most valuable." In a world where some leagues (read: NCAA) the highest honor is "most outstanding player" rather than "most valuable player," this article sheds some light on the process. I especially like the acknowledgment of what teammates, owners, fans, and players like. It probably is an article about people in general that we think are "valuable" instead of "outstanding."
